  such as discovery of new herbicides and fungicides, fluorine biochemistry and enzyme biocatalysis.
1984 Joined DuPont Central Research & Development as a Principle Investigator in biochemisty. Worked on various programs
1998-2003 Biochemistry Task leader for the development of successful commercial biocatalyst for production of 1,3-propanediol (PDO) by fermentation
since 2004 Biology Team Leader for DuPont's Biorefinery program to make cellulosic ethanol co-funded by the Department of Energy
