12 Decisions Under Uncertainty

-
Hauptschule
Seminar
english language

How can we make good decisions in situations associated with great uncertainty and large stakes about someone s healthcare, or global climate change, for example when time is pressing and information is hard to come by? We will work with both the theory and practice of making beneficial choices with simple strategies and limited information, and communicating the information that will be useful to decision makers at individual and societal/policy levels. We will explore cases from disaster risk management, climate change, and health, to consider how experts, consumers, and policy makers can learn from each other to improve risk communication and make sound decisions.
