Franui: “Fresh Merchandise”

The Eastern Tyrolean music band of ten offers a unique combination of woodwind and brass- as well as stringed instruments. They play a sequence of musical scenes combining funeral music by Franz Schubert or Robert Schumann with the tradition of rustic wind bands. Franui s music is light-footed and melancholic at once, describing the moment when grief, sincerity and outrageous humour meet.
