Millions of people have survived without love but no one has done so without water. The seminar will explore the unique qualities of water and underline its significance for life, health, food and the environment. Challenges increase in an era of where we encounter “new normals”. Climate change means water change bringing increasing uncertainties and risks to human health, to livelihoods, to food production, and to the environment. Significant changes in terms of demography and lifestyles amplify these challenges.

This seminar will present the scale and dynamics of the problems as well as explore scientific and governmental approaches for dealing with them.
