The seminar will discuss the role of religion in contemporary society with a special emphasis on trust issues and the political dimension of religions. We will discuss questions like:
- What are religions?
- What does it mean to be "religious"?
- What does it take to understand a religious person?
- What is the influence of religion?
- What is the place of religions in a pluralistic society?
- Why do people trust or distrust religions?
- Is there a decline in the trust in religious institutions?
