Trish NEWPORT Deputy Program Manager - Ebola, MSF - Médecins Sans Frontières, Geneva


 Trish Newport is a nurse and epidemiologist from Northern Canada. She has worked with Medecins Sans Frontières (MSF) since 2009, in a variety of positions including nurse, project manager, medical coordinator and emergency coordinator, and in numerous locations throughout Africa and the Middle East. In May 2018, she managed the MSF project that used the experimental Ebola vaccine for the first time at the beginning of an Ebola outbreak. During the current Ebola outbreak, Trish has worked in the DRC as an Emergency Coordinator, Medical Coordinator and as the MSF Representative for the Ebola Response. She is currently working in the MSF headquarters in Switzerland as the Deputy Program Manager for MSF’s Ebola response.
