Einerseits sollen Grundzüge des Rechts der Scharia im Spannungsfeld zum europäischen Recht beleuchtet werden, zumal das Recht der Scharia im Rahmen des Internationalen Privatrechts auch in Europa anzuwendendes Recht sein kann. Andererseits wird ein Blick auf besondere Scharia-Gerichte in einzelnen europäischen Ländern geworfen, die zwar im Verborgenen, aber höchst wirksam tätig sind.
