Carlo STRENGER

Professor of Philosophy and Psychology, Tel Aviv University, Tel Aviv

 Carlo Strenger is an existential psychoanalyst, philosopher and public intellectual who serves as Professor of Psychology and Philosophy at Tel Aviv University, Cohn Institute for the History and Philosophy of Science and Ideas and the School of Psychological Sciences
 Strenger has published numerous papers and books. His work has been reported on, and he has been interviewed by The Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Time Magazine as well as hundreds of newspapers and websites in more than twenty languages.
 As a publicist he writes primarily on Israeli politics and the Middle Eastern conflict and cultural issues. He is a columnist at Israel’s leading Newspaper Haaretz, and at Neue Zürcher Zeitung, and occasionally writes in The New York Times, The Guardian, Huffington Post, Foreign Policy..

Maria Fernanda ESPINOSA GARCES

 Her Excellency Ms. María Fernanda Espinosa Garcés was elected to serve as President of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly on 5 June 2018. She is the fourth woman - and first woman from Latin America - to hold this position. Ms Espinosa Garcés has over 20 years of multilateral experience in peace and security, human rights, sustainable development and environmental issues. She has served Ecuador as Minister of Foreign Affairs (twice), Minister of National Defence, and Coordinating Minister of Natural and Cultural Heritage; and was Ecuador’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York and in Geneva. Ms. Espinosa Garcés also worked in academia, including as Associate Professor and Researcher at the Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales, Ecuador.

 Damita holds Masters degrees in Psychology from UCL and Journalism from FH Wien. She is fluent in English, French and German as well as proficient in Spanish and Romanian. She was recently chosen as a "30 under 30" journalist by the Austrian magazine "Der Journalist".
