Im Zeitalter von Big Data akkumulieren jedes Jahr mehr Daten und Informationen. Jedoch gibt es keinen parallelen Anstieg an echtem, öffentlichen Wissen. Das Konzept von Open Science ist wichtig, jedoch brauchen wir dringend komplementäre Ansätze, um die Lücke zwischen möglichem (abhängig von der Menge an produzierten Daten und Informationen) und tatsächlichem, öffentlichen Wissen zu verringern – wir bezeichnen diese Lücke als ‚dark knowledge‘. Im Arbeitskreis werden führende ExpertInnen diskutieren, wie mit zunehmendem Nichtwissen und Desinformation in Entscheidungsprozessen umzugehen ist.
