Alpbach in Motion – AIM
August, 25 – 27, 2013, Alpbach; Kontakt: KathArina Mewald
Europe needs fresh thinking. We believe that a new generation of committed leaders can come up with new perspectives. This is why we have created Alpbach in Motion (AIM), the Alpbach Summit of Emerging Leaders.
AIM 2013 will address “The Future of our Economic Model”: Is our current model outdated? What is the way forward? We will discuss the issues keeping us from finding new and sustainable solutions, challenge established ideas about economic growth or social progress. Let’s start thinking outside the box!
A group of 40 committed European emerging leaders will step up to this challenge during two days of intense discussions and group work. A select group of mentors will join them for inputs and informal talks. The results of the summit will be included in the discussions of the high-profile Alpbach Economic Symposium and members of AIM will present their views and ideas in the breakout session “Rethinking Capitalism”.
A select group of mentors will join the group for inputs and informal talks, including:
Franz Fischler (former European Commissioner for Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries; President, European Forum Alpbach)
Larry Leifer (Director, Hasso Plattner Design Thinking Research Program and Professor, Stanford University, Stanford)
Miha Pogacnik (Concert Violinist and Management Consultant, Munsbach)
They will be joined by high-ranking board members of international companies.
The AIM group is a community of emerging leaders from Europe. They come from diverse backgrounds in business, start-ups, social business, the creative industries and the arts and have made their first steps to address the pressing societal problems of today by starting projects or making a difference within their professional areas.
The participants of AIM are nominated by partner companies and organisations and are selected by the European Forum Alpbach. In addition to having an outstanding résumé, they must be between 30 and 40 years of age, from Europe and speak English fluently.
