Off.Space Swimming Pool

Discovery has never simply followed a recipe. People need space to tinker, experiment or simply “make” new things. The European Forum Alpbach is offering creative minds a temporary workshop in the form of the disused Alpbach swimming pool.

Once again, food entrepreneur Tobias Judmaier will transform the site into a lab for sustainable lifestyles. In what must be the highest lying “Fab Lab” in Europe, the Happylab invites you to test out the emancipatory potential of digital tools such as laser cutters and 3D printers in do-ityourself workshops. Dive into the world of self-sufficiency and do-it-yourself and meet the pioneers from around the world creating alternatives to the throw-away society.

Alongside the exhibition in the former pool area, the DIY factory on the upper floor the Off.Space turns into the scene of encounter and celebration.

Opening Hours:

Off.Space & Art Installation: From August 18 to September 2, daily from 5 p.m.

Happylab Pop-Up Fab Lab: From August 24 – September 02, daily from 5 p.m.
