The Alpbach Professional Programme on European Health Care and Social Systems in Transition gives a comprehensive insight into the intricacies of organizing and reforming health and social systems, and the interrelationships between economics, public health, health sciences, regulations and many other fields governing the decision makers, professionals and people alike.
By taking into account these various influencing factors on the design and implementation of health and social care, the challenges of today’s systems will be discussed and solutions for more integrated and coordinated care elaborated. Thus, the Alpbach Professional Programme will enable participants to better understand the roles of different professions and institutions and play an active role in the change process towards more equitable, people-centred and integrated systems.
The programme is jointly organised by the International Foundation for Integrated Care and the European Forum Alpbach. Both institutions have a wide network of national and international partners at their disposal, which cover the whole range of knowledge and expertise necessary to provide inspiring input.
Your Learning Outcomes
- You receive an overview of the economic, financial and organizational concepts of health and social systems.
- You are able to analyze and interpret influencing factors and processes which form a health and social care system, such as social and epidemiological data, legal frameworks or available human and financial resources.
