Ways out of the Asylum Accommodation Crisis
In 2015 and 2016 more than 350 Austrian mayors attended five network meetings to look for common solutions to the asylum accommodation crisis. Several mayors recounted in their own words how they succeeded in admitting refugees in their communities. In a participative and moderated process, they exchanged know-how and ideas.
The interactive atmosphere, initiated by a moderation team and continued by the mayors, together with the input of successful communities and a series of experts, brought an abundance of relevant knowledge to light.
