Scholarships for professionals for the Alpbach Political & Legal Symposium
Are you working in the field of civil society, media and academia in Central and Eastern Europe*? Would you like to share your expertise on the strengths and weaknesses of democracy in your country?
In cooperation with the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), the European Forum Alpbach Foundation offers scholarships for professionals to participate at the Political & Legal Symposium and to take part in further networking events organised especially for NED scholarship holders. Scholarships cover the participation fees and accommodation for the entire Political Symposium (August 24-27, 2019). Please note that we are not able to provide funding for travel costs.
We are seeking to find candidates who are interested in actively participating in our discussions and networking events. You should be motivated to stay connected and spread the spirit of Alpbach after the conference.
Apply for a scholarship and challenge yourself in the international and intellectually stimulating atmosphere of Europe’s ‘Festival of Ideas’!
Send your application including a CV and a short note (max. 300 words) on why you would like to participate to the project manager Fruzsina Herbert (email@example.com) June 10, 2019 (extended deadline). Please define a key question or problem in your motivation letter which you are seeking to find an answer to during the conference. We will ask you to submit a short summary (max. 600 words) on this question after the conference.
You are not able to participate, but you would like to support us in strengthening democracy across Europe? Help us connect young leaders from civil society, media and academia by sharing this call in your network!
