In Ireland, Great Britain and the Netherlands employee participation is a widespread instrument, whereas in Austria it has a shadowy existence. However, also in Austria some models have proved their worth over a long period. In order to promote the spread of employee participation models the general conditions have to be improved and more information for enterprises and employees has to be provided.
