Ö1 Children’s University Alpbach – Science and Technology for Kids

german language

The children’s programme of the Alpbach Technology Forum invites girls and boys aged seven to twelve years to solve the questions of “How?” and “Why?” in science and technology in an entertaining way. They get a chance to experience research hands-on and ask questions freely, thus gaining access to scientific themes in an enticing, surprising and above all comprehensible way. These are experiences that stimulate children to think and explore further and will also be passed on to a broader audience together with the radio programme “OE1 Children’s University”.

Where are the borders between cities and the countryside? A planning workshop for children

Are there still borders or do our living spaces fuse more and more? Is that something we should want? What are the advantages and disadvantages and how would we plan our future environment? In this planning workshop we will explore the foundations of our living space and develop and implement our ideas with models and plans. In this process the kids will be accompanied by experts in regional and urban planning, architecture and the arts.

Participants: Only children of participants of the Technology Forum aged 7 to 12 years or children from the village of Alpbach with special invitations may be registered for this special programme.

Please note: limited number of participants, registration necessary!
