Afternoon 02: Behaving Truthfully
‘Acting is behaving truthfully in imaginary circumstances.’ – Sanford Meissner.
One of the most important things for an actor to be is truthful; audiences need to believe the people they see on stage. Finding ways to be truthful, and to present emotions honestly is one very important aspect of an actor’s training.
Students at the end of their second year at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London will run three seminars. Each one will focus on aspects of the acting training they have received; each seminar will be different as the focus will be decided by the seminar leaders according to their preferences and strengths.
