Morning 15: To Have or to Be? Redefining Prosperity and Well-Being (Part of Alpbach Learning Missions)
We are living at the expense of future generations. What kind of social reforms are needed to make up for the delay in achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs)? Which social structures are needed so that the SDGs can still be achieved by 2030? How do the individual values need to change in order to enable the long-term transformation of our planet? In this seminar, participants will deal with the costs of our prosperity on the one hand and thereby examine its effects on the achievement of the SDGs on the other hand. Can we collectively redefine our definition of wealth and wellbeing so as to find a (new) narrative for our future?
This seminar will continue as an Alpbach Learning Mission to take a deep-dive into concrete and pressing questions surrounding prosperity and sustainability.
