Digitization comprises all aspects of people’s lives. The generation and rapid availability of data is the backbone of our global economies and our private lives. However, as we doInformation technologies give us comfort and new possibilities, with mountaineering, artificial intelligence in the form of learning systems available in even cost-efficient devices. At the same time, (in)security poses a lot of questions and we have to find the right balance between comfort and freedom that information technologies give us and the speed and security of data communications. After a keynote speech we will discuss these conflicting areas in this breakout session by showcasing practical scenarios from mobility, production, finance, and medicinethe financial sector.
