The COVID-19 pandemic revealed the key role of health and health systems for our societies, well-being and the overall economy. Various national and international measures within health systems and beyond responded to the crisis. Out of this pandemic has come renewed attention to health system and health security. This seminar will highlight the importance of strong and resilient health systems for global health security. It will look at various challenges such as workforce shortages, but also debate ideas such as the One Health Approach, Universal Health Coverage, Global Health Diplomacy, Planetary Health and the European Health Union.
