What are the limitations to freedom of thought and expression, and how can articles 9 and 10 of the European Convention of Human Rights safeguard those rights? How to deal with opposing views and conflicts in academia, politics, everyday life? Are there meaningful, objective criteria to apply in specific situations? The participants are asked to contribute their own experiences. Keywords: academic freedom, freedom of speech, freedom of thought, wokeness, cancel culture.
