Labour shortages are reported to be limiting production more than ever in European economies. In certain sectors, companies are already competing for ever fewer skilled workers. In upcoming decades, demographic change will further reduce the size of the European labour force. We will discuss which policy measures are needed to tackle the shortage of workers and ensure Europe’s competitiveness.
