Brigitte Bach completed her doctoral studies in technical physics at the Vienna University of Technology in 1992 and a postgraduate course in „Management Development and Communication“ at the Danube University Krems. In 1999, Ms. Bach began her career at AIT. In 2009, she took over the management of the "Center of Energy", where she focused research in the areas of "Energy Infrastructure", "Smart Cities" and "Energy Efficiency in Industry". In June 2018, Ms. Bach switched to Wien Energie, where she was leading the business area „telecommunications, electromobility and new business“. There her responsibilities included the development of new services and products for smart cities and energy communities. Since 2021, Ms. Bach has been actively shaping the future of the company as a member of the Management Board of Salzburg AG, where her responsibilities include power generation, grid infrastructure for electricity, gas and district heating, telecom infrastructure, IT and e-mobility.
