Selime Büyükgöze works as an Associate Professor at Istanbul Topkapı University in the New Media and Communication Department. She has been a volunteer at Mor Çatı Women's Shelter Foundation since 2011 and a board member of WAVE Network since October 2021. She is active in the feminist movement in Istanbul and one of the founders and contributors of the feminist zine Çatlak Zemin.
