Andrea Klambauer was born in Vienna on February 24, 1977. After graduating from high school, she studied economics at the University of Applied Sciences in Wiener Neustadt. During her studies, she worked in human resources development at Rewe and discovered her passion for human resources management. After graduating, she worked at Hewitt Associates, an international company in the field of HR Consulting. The desire to get to know foreign cultures led her to China for 2.5 years, where she was a HR Manager at Siemens, responsible for 1,000 employees. In 2006, she moved from Beijing to Bad Hofgastein in Austria. 3.5 years followed at SAG and then 7.5 years at eurofunk, an innovative software company. Politically, she has been an active member of NEOS – Austria’s liberal party – since the beginning. In June 2018, she took over the role as a Minister of Salzburg, responsible for Housing, Childcare, Adult Education, Families, Women, Equal Opportunities, Generations, Science and Integration.
