MMag. Dr Kathrin Stainer-Hämmerle was a politician and legal scholar the Universities of Innsbruck and Klagenfurt (IFF) and switched in 2009 as professor for Political Science to the Carinthian University of Applied Sciences, where she is responsible for the bachelor’s and master’s programs Public Management (https://www.fh-kaernten.at/studium/wirtschaft-management/) as well as for the research group Trans_space (https://forschung.fh-kaernten.at/trans-space/). Lectureships e.g. at the Universities of Klagenfurt and Graz, the Sigmund Freud University Vienna and at the Danube University Krems, before management of the master’s course in political education in cooperation with the Danube University Krems, member of the management team of the ULG Political Education/MSc program. Current member of the Interessensgemeinschaft für Politische Bildung (interest group for political education IGPB), board member at Europahaus Klagenfurt, member of Austrian Society for Political Science (ÖGPW). Studies and publications in the fields of political education, electoral law, Participation and Democracy Research.
