Hannelore Veit is a journalist, moderator, and author. She served as North America bureau chief for ORF, the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation, based in Washington, DC, until 2021. Prior to that she was a long-term evening news anchor for ORF. She joined ORF as Far East correspondent in Tokyo. Hannelore began her career in journalism as a radio correspondent at the Voice of America’s East Europe bureau. She is a graduate of the University of Vienna and of the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. She is also the president of the Alumni Association of the University of Vienna.
