European Forum Alpbach 2020: General Topic ‘Fundamentals’

In the course of this year’s European Forum Alpbach, people from the fields of science, politics, economy, culture and civil society will discuss the topic ‘Fundamentals’ from 23 August to 03 September. However, the current Corona situation requires some adaptions to the Forum. Please find the latest information on this here.

The official presentation of this year’s programme launch will take place on July 7, 2020. You will receive detailed information on the opportunity to participate in this year’s forum digitally.

The European Forum Alpbach was established in 1945 after the Second World War and meets every year with more than 5,000 attendees, 900 speakers, 700 young scholarship holders, from more than 100 countries. Past participants have included: Ban Ki-Moon, Mary Robinson, Helmut Kohl, Yitzak Rabin, Indira Gandhi, Karl Popper, Friedrich von Hayek, scores of Nobel Prize winners, leading academics, thinkers, decision-makers  and many others.
