The European Union’s motto, “United in Diversity,” is also a guiding principle of the European Forum Alpbach (EFA). We firmly believe that diversity is valuable and enriching. It is through the power of diversity that we generate our best ideas and work together to create solutions that strengthen Europe.
We are committed to ensuring that the EFA event reflects the diversity of Europe and actively contributes to a more inclusive and diverse future.
We also strive to be an inclusive employer, fostering a diverse team and respecting the individual needs and strengths of every person – regardless of ethnicity, skin colour, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, age, religion, political beliefs, national origin, or any other defining characteristic.
We recognize that diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) are ongoing processes. We are committed to continual learning, growth, and reflection – challenging our own biases, raising awareness, and implementing visible, impactful solutions. Beyond fulfilling legal requirements, we are dedicated to the following measures.
The European Forum Alpbach allows all employees and participants to specify their pronouns. Employees can include their pronouns in their email signatures. Participants can add their pronouns to the event badges, which are worn throughout the EFA, in addition to their names.
