Rana supervises the organisation’s strategy and programmes in promoting a low carbon industrial development and industrial decarbonisation in developing and emerging economies. She has a long-standing experience of 20 years in designing and implementing technical cooperation programmes in the energy sector in Africa and the MENA region. She also leads the organisation’s engagement and partnerships in global energy and climate fora. She is an advocate for gender and youth inclusion to fully benefit the energy transition. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from the American University of Beirut and a Master’s degree in Environmental Economics from the Imperial College London.
