Mr. Nobu Kikuchi is a Japanese senior diplomat with 25 years of experience. He played a pivotal role in the G7 Sherpa process under Japan’s presidency in 2023, leading expert working groups in the area of his responsibilities for G7 Hiroshima Summit in May 2023, and contributing to the drafting of the G7 Leaders' Communiqué and its related documents. Since September 2023, as Minister-Counsellor at Permanent Mission of Japan in Vienna, Mr. Kikuchi has been covering issues of drugs and organized crime (UNODC), nuclear disarmament (CTBTO) and nonproliferation, Export Control regimes, and Outer Space, addressing illicit trade and mining of critical minerals and resource development in outer space.
