He studied Business Administration in Innsbruck, where he earned a doctorate with a dissertation on organisational change in nonprofit organisations. After holding senior positions at the Austrian Red Cross, he entered the Jesuit order in 1999 and was ordained a priest in 2008. Since 2018, he has been Rector of the Jesuit College Innsbruck and is active in numerous ecclesial and social responsibilities.
