Joseph E. Stiglitz is an economist and professor at Columbia University and is affiliated with the Roosevelt Institute. He engages with inequality and global taxation, drawing on his experience at the World Bank and in the US government. He founded the Initiative for Policy Dialogue, a think tank on international development based at Columbia University, in 2000. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in 2001.
