Since 2007 he has been Head of the Representative Office in Vienna for the Port of Hamburg. He is Member of the Board of VNL and of CombiNet. Besides that, he is a university lecturer in logistics and holds an MBA and MSc in Leadership and Management. He was also appointed as senator of honour (FH).
