As Senior Managing Director for the World Bank's Development Policy and Partnerships, he oversees key sector strategies. A Dutch-Austrian national, he leads global initiatives on climate, fragility, human capital and debt sustainability. He also manages partnerships, represents the Bank at G7 and G20 meetings, and co-chairs the replenishment of the International Development Association (IDA). Previously, he served as Managing Director of Operations.
