She is director of the Institute for Environmental Law and head of the Environmental Private Department at the Institute for Civil Law at Johannes Kepler University Linz. She conducts research on all environmental law topics such as climate and nature conservation law, renewable energies, natural disaster law, the Aarhus Convention, tree and animal protection. She has received numerous scientific awards and is involved in relevant functions (e.g. Climate Advisory Board of the City of Linz). She is co-editor of the journal "Law of the Environment" and the online journal "Animals and Law in Animal and Species Protection in Law and Practice" (TiRuP).
