The EFA and the European Health Forum Gastein are joining forces to shape a health programme at EFA25 – thematically linked to the four EFA-Tracks.
As the health sector faces mounting challenges, from critical shortages of skilled professionals and outdated infrastructure to the growing impacts of climate change and digital vulnerabilities, we aim to harness the collective knowledge of our network to drive meaningful change.
The European Forum Alpbach and the European Health Forum Gastein (EHFG) have joined forces to co-curate a dedicated health programme at the EFA25. By connecting health with the broader societal issues at the heart of our four EFA Tracks – Climate, Democracy and the Rule of Law, Finance and Economy, and Security – we encourage cross-sector dialogue and the development of integrated, future-oriented solutions.
At Alpbach, key stakeholders from the health field will engage with decision makers from politics, science and technology to exchange ideas, challenge established perspectives and co-create actionable strategies for the future of health in Europe.
With strong partners from across the healthcare landscape, we are creating a space for innovation, reflection and collaboration to tackle the pressing challenges of our time. Join the EFA25 sessions exploring health across all four Tracks and be part of shaping Europe’s health future:
This session explores how the European Health Data Space (EHDS) is reshaping healthcare, research, and policy across Europe, with key implications for Austria.
The discussion will tackle the growing care crisis, examining how to address labour shortages, support caregivers, and secure high-quality care for the future.
In this curated session, European Health Forum Gastein, Sozialversicherung der Selbständigen and European Forum Alpbach are coming together to explore the commercial determinants of health (CDoH), as one of several broader health determinants. CDoH refers to the influence private sector activities have on people’s health, their risk factors and the environments they live in. Participants will engage with experts from public health, social insurance, and civil society to co-create ideas for a more health-promoting economic environment.
