This panel examines Europe’s evolving position on the question of Palestine by exploring tensions between historical responsibilities, contemporary policy choices and global perceptions of justice. It will discuss how structural and colonial-era asymmetries as well as selective humanitarian responses continue to shape Europe’s role in the region. The session invites reflections on how a re-imagined European engagement could contribute to an international legal order grounded in new relationships that are based on human dignity, accountability and mutual respect.
