Europe’s security stands at a turning point. As the transatlantic security architecture comes under increasing pressure, expectations of greater European responsibility for defence are growing. The rapid and comprehensive strengthening of Europe’s defence capabilities has therefore become a strategic necessity, including for Austria and Germany. How can this development be supported politically? What role do European cooperation, the removal of existing barriers, and the defence industry play in this process?
