What does it mean to win? At what costs may victory be achieved? Are the antagonistic and violent practices and discourses of war and victory reconcilable with a sustainable peace? This seminar critically explores the concept of victory from Antiquity to today and specifically looks at the idea of victory in war. By incorporating moral, political, and cultural considerations, victory in the 21st century is reimagined.
