Among numerous functions, he headed the CD Laboratory for Automotive Measurement Research at TU Graz. He was Division President at the Austrian Academy of Sciences for nine years and chairs the Academy-Commission on the De-fossilisation of the European Energy System. His research interests are electronics, circuit design, sensors, actuators, energy transition and sustainable mobility.
