She is a senior advisor at Institute for State Effectiveness (ISE) and a former Chief of Voice of America’s (VOA) Eastern Europe and Ukrainian services. A 2019 Nieman Fellow at Harvard, she has over 20 years of experience covering Ukraine, Russia’s war, and security. In 2024, she was named one of Ukrainska Pravda’s (UP) top 100 women in Ukraine.
