Innsbruck-based Prof. Hannes Kar made the transition from experimental musician (musique concrète) to recipient of the Dr Karl Renner Journalism Prize. Through his journalistic work at the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation, he has been involved with the EFA since 1948. Documenting the forum became an important part of his professional life. In 2014, he was awarded the Dr Karl Renner Journalism Prize in recognition of his lifetime achievements.
