She is the founding CEO of AI For the People (AFP) a non profit focusing on responsible AI policy. She had been doing policy advocacy work in Congress since 2017, when she was a fellow at Stanford's Digital Civil Society Lab, and later at Harvard's Berkman Klein Center.
