Elmar Pichler-Rolle has been a journalist with the daily newspaper Dolomiten since 1979. From 1991 to 1995, he was editor-in-chief of the Sunday newspaper Zett. From 1995 to 2008, he served as Deputy Mayor of Bolzano, from 2004 to 2009 as Chairman of the South Tyrolean People’s Party (SVP), from 2008 to 2013 as a Member of the South Tyrolean Parliament, and from 2012 to 2014 as a Member of the South Tyrolean provincial government. From 2014 to 2017, he was Director of Schnalstaler Gletscherbahnen AG. From 2017 to 2025, he was responsible for communications at the Athesia Group in Bolzano.
