One thing became clear at the event held as part of the EFA World of Women* Initiative: the future of AI is now.
How can companies use AI?
Under the theme "AI Forward: Shaping the Future," the PwC Women Network, the Zukunft.Frauen Alumnae Club, and the European Forum Alpbach invited guests on 29 April 2025 to an evening full of insights, inspiration, and networking.
In their welcome remarks, Barbara Zimmermann (EFA), Jutta Perfahl-Strilka (Zukunft.Frauen Alumnae Club), and Barbara Redlein (PwC) emphasized one thing clearly: the strategic engagement with AI is no longer a topic for the future – it starts now.
The evening kicked off with a keynote by Rudolf Krickl, CEO of PwC Austria, who spoke about current developments and opportunities in the field of AI. In the subsequent panel discussion, experts such as Bernadette Fellner and Andreas Hladky (PwC), Karen Fanto (ZFAC), and Ana Simic (Propeller AI Consultancy / EFA Network) addressed key questions, moderated by Nina Stadler (PwC):
- What potential does AI offer for businesses?
- How can “Responsible AI” be implemented in line with the EU AI Act?
- And how can AI skills be effectively and sustainably embedded within companies?
