Farmers only contribute to approx. 1.3 % of the European gross domestic product, but their efforts to feeding
the world are priceless. With a global population hitting ten billion by 2050, food supply must more than double.
However, we witness an unbalanced shift of priorities in politics. The Minister of Agriculture, Norbert Totschnig,
and others discuss issues around consumer demand, food security and policy.
